Interior paint design

So originally I was thinking about painting the whole interior black. I have everything I need for it. I was just thinking of the hassle on taking the whole dash out, something I wont do, so dont try and tell me how easy it is. I was planning on doing it with the dash still in the car.

Then, I had another thought. How do you guys think it would look if I kept the interior main color as gray, and added a subtle black here and there? Im thinking it might look odd, but I have no imagination so I need some help.

I am planning on making the lower half of the interior black when ever it warms up outside. There is a nice line you can follow from the door around the bottom of the dash. I would also love to get black carpet. And some suede on the doors would be nice and classy.

So what are your thoughts on the black highlights? Maybe someone could take a grey interior and photoshop some black into it.

Maybe just the plastics on the bottom and doors would look nice.
If you look at the 1g Talons, they have a 2 tone like that. It is a darker color, then the pilars are a lighter color. That way it's not just random coloring.

Thanks for the kudos! I was just digging through my gallery looking for my pics. For the record, I prefer a matching airbag, but mine was peeling apart when I got the car, and the replacement gray didn't match. I'm hoping to get a CF airbag cover in the future. Here's another pic:

The clencher, IMO, is the center console. Hope you guys like. On deck is the CF & Aluminum dash kit.

Ya, Im really thinking about doing the bottom half in black like that. Its either that or all black, it depends on how it looks, if I dont like it ill just bite the bullet be patient, and do it all in black.

I also got a 21 piece carbon fiber dash kit. So I dont know how that will look on gray, i like it with black alot better.

My 99 already has a two tone dash. The Upper dash is Black the lower is a med. gray color. The door panels are black with med gray cloth (Though I just dyed the inserts black). I also just purchase charcoal colored carpet. I plan on doing the headliner in a charcoal or black micro-suede. I have located somt black Leather rear seats, but might go with a set of Summit Racing Leather look fronts. The stock 2G seats are rather bulky and def. much heavier! All of this is in a Minden Silver colored Eclipse.

Just try and accent it with colors you have already used. Otherwise it will look like a clown suit with a bunch of unmatching colors put together.

I want the tan and black interior, that stuff is baller.

I think it'll look good as long as you have enough black accents throughout the car to match.

definitely go with the all black interior. i am going to make all my panels black and get an aftermarket carpet, headliner, and racing seats. trust me, a buddy of mine did it and it is sleek as hell, u'll definitely like it.
