long list of plans and need some help.

1st- What is easiest power source to tap into for gauges on a 1g and how do i make it so they turn on/off with my parking or headlights?

2nd- With an indash LCD, if its in the top DIN space will it hit my A/C or heater controls or will there be enough clearance? Say im using a Pyle deck (if that helps).

3rd- What is the best place to drill on the firewall of a 1g for a grommet?

4th- What leather seats would fit easieast into my 1g? Say im getting the seats from another car or a junkyard.

5th- Thinking of new carpet, any good molded carpets out there? Gimme some URLs.

6th- What is the best material to use for a custom sub box i plan to make to replace the back seat? Particle board, Plywood...help.

I know its a long and redundant list but n00b needs some help, hence the name of the forum and the point of this thread.

Thanx to everyone who helps or looks.:laser:

1. the best source to use to tap into for gauges so that they turn on when you turn you lights on would be the fuse box underneath your dash under the left side of the stearing wheel. tap it into the head/tail lights fuse it will tell you which fuse it is on the fuse cover.

2. No it shouldnt hit the a/c and heating control becasue the unit should go out enought to clear them and plus the controls are pretty flush with the panel.

3. Anywhere where there isnt any moving parts such as the stearing stem. And obivously so that its going to be in your way also. Just assure that when you are going to drill make sure theres nothin on the other side of the firewall in the engine bay that you are going to drill into.

4. i dont know off the top of my head what will bolt rite in besides factory leather 1g or 2g seats but Try to fing a set of factory talon/eclipse/laser leather seats in the junkyard from eather a 1g of a 2g if not just take measuremeants for the legth between the mounting bolts on the floor pan of the seats and the height and with of the acuall seat and im sure you can find something simular with the same bolt pattern that will mount in place.
