Hey guys

I'm switching my gauge setup around this winter and I decided on moving my Prosport Boost/Oil Press/Water temp gauges to the vent bezel, and the AEM UEGO to the A pillar in a single pod.

But, I have been looking around for a specific gauge bezel, one that I am not sure they make anymore since I can't seem to find it.

I'm just looking to find out if anyone knows who makes this pod, and if by chance, if they still make it.

It's a triple gauge bezel with the gauges ANGLED towards the driver. It's not the standard gauge bezel with just the 3 gauges, this specific pod has a different shape, its molded.

Take a look, this is the one I'm looking for:

And here's the other one that is available:

extreme psi sells a bunch of different ones, but none that angle towards the driver I don't believe (search: bezel).. I run a safc in the vent, and then a single din stereo, with 3 gauges below it, matches nicely...

dunno about the angled bezel, but the standard, flat x3 52mm guage one can be had for CHEAP on ebay... Like ~$10 bux + S&H.

Just be sure to block off the center heater vent before you run it though :thumb: I used some 1/4 ABS and the rest of my Window Weld that I had left over from filling my carrier bearings in my AWD propeller shaft :thumb:

That's exactly what I'm trying to say. I KNOW of the other kinds of gauge bezels, I know which vendors sell them

I need the SAFC on the steering column because that reads my RPM's. I need the other gauges at eye level, so the center vents will do the job good. I don't want to be looking down at my boost and oil pressure all the time. The Wideband will stay on the pillar, but by itself or next to the shiftlight. Trust me, I got this down to a science.

I have PM'd owners of the pod. Some say they have no idea, one said he got it on MachV. MachV however does not sell it anymore, and none of the people I contacted wanted to sell theirs.

I have a regular triple vent bezel on the way from Ebay, but it is not what I want, it's just temporary while I look for this and get my gauges off the A pillar.

So, you need to block the heat from coming to the gauges. I figured this was the case, but I never really thought about how to do it.

Well, I guess you don't really need to but I've seen others that did not block it off and then end up complaining about why their gauges are all fogged up... I did so as an extra precaution. -In doing so, I have A LOT more air flowing out of the side vents, and it also allowed a little bit more room behind the gauges to accommodate for vacuum lines and wiring. All I did was cut off about 1.5" (deep) out of the air duct and fashion a template out of thick cardboard that would block off the rest of the passage. Once I was satisfied with it's fitment, I then trimmed the ABS to match the cardboard template and used the Window Weld to secure/seal the abs in place. I over cut the ABS so that it wedged itself in place... The Window Weld was just used to further seal any small air leaks. I thought I took pics, but I can't seem to find them... probably lost them on the last HDD crash :( but here's the finished product:

Interesting. I haven't had my dash out in a while, and I probably won't be able to see everything you are explaining until I do the gauge swap. However, I will definitely contact you if I have problems or need advice, so thanks for the info!

If you do find out please be sure to post back here. Id be very interested in something like that.

Josh, that molded one is an old MachV pod. I remember seeing one on ebay a while back. Very rare though, I have only seen one on ebay and two actually installed.

So, now all you need are these:

Add these angle rings to that flat bezel that you have coming in the mail, and you have a "close version" of the old Mach V bezel. Just a thought.

Yeah perhaps, thanks for the advice. I have a bunch of those little 'hoods', but it's really not the same, as the molded pop actually faces the gauges towards the driver, instead of the appearance of it ;)

ProjectTSI, that is what my research has shown me as well. I will just install the gauge bezel and wait around until a MachV unit pops up in a classifieds ad.
