led interior problem

i have a problem with the blue led upgrade. I did it to the hvac and it works fine i did it to the rear wiper too. The problem is in the rear defroster. I got it apart soldered a led and resistor to the connecting points and checked it and it worked (I want to keep the light that turns on and off normal orange) but the orange light won't turn on anymore when i press the button. Any ideas what i could have done that would make it do this?

does anyone know possibly how that little stock bulb works or can direct me to a good source? If I get the idea of what's supposed to be switching it on i'd know if it's the bulb or how i put it in.

maybe the switch isnt acualy working anymore ? the rear defrost switch in my car is REALLY sticky-- and i gota mess with it to get it to acualy come on
