Ok, I can't bother reading through this entire thread so here is my question.
Does the B&M clone shifter lowers the shifter height? Answer - No.
Edit: I already got an answer to my question Defiant. No need to edit my post to prove a point.

Gosh, that's tough. Why the hell do you think all these questions were put in the same thread?
If you can't search, just read.

Has any one ever used the Fidanza Short Throw Shifter?... If you have one , would you recommend it?...
I was thinking about buying one because I don't wanna fork up the 160.00 bucks for the B & M!!
Uh... yeah.

Just bought one for $30.98 shipped from ebay. B&M Clone. I'll let ya know how I like it. Hopefully pairing this with a good old fashion fluid change will get rid of a pesky sencond gear.

who did you get it from? avoid seller epartsgogo. he's the one who sent me just the 2 main pieces, and when i sent him a picture of what i received, he sent me 3 random bolts. now he says he'll accept a return if i give him my part number and pay to ship it all back...

B&M vs. Ralco vs. Fidanza short shifter 2g
hey guys... I was looking to get a short shifter for my eclipse gs-t. It's a 1997, but the shifter is kinda sloppy and that's the reason why i wanted to swap it out. I am having a difficulty choosing which short shifter to get. I know that ppl say B&M is the best, but it is also the most expensive one. How would you compare B&M with the other two? lemme know what you all think... Ralco or Fidanza are alot more cheaper than b&m..
B&M, Ralco, or Fidanza..

The only reason the B&M is more expensive is because its made of a differnt material and supports more knobs aswell as the stock I have the B&M SS W/ the Greddy Counter weight shift knob and it works great but I got my B&M and the Knob for only 75.00 bucks brand new on craigslist keep looking and a short shifter is a huge waste of money buy a cheap one on ebay and replace the busings with skate board bushings and it will be very smooth!

I have the Fidanza short throw and its crap. It didn't even fit. I had to cut an 1/8 of an inch off of the black piece to make it work. It's a real PITA.

Megan Racing (another B&M knockoff) + Symborski kit + skate bearings. That was a great setup in my 97 GST. I never had any problems with the shifter, and it was only $40.
