Is it possible to use H3 HID for the stock fog lights? WHat are your opinion on that?

If I was to go cheap and use the hid kits and put it into my stock headlights, what kind of effects would i be getting? Are the stock headlights adjustable so I wont blind everyone on the road?

Uhm, Are your stock fog lights H3 bulbs? If so, there's your answer.

H3 Fog Light HID Bulbs inside your stock headlights? uhm that just wont work. 1st off they wont fit... the bulb would just fall inside the headlight. Second... H3's are too short. If you want HID's for your fog lights, get H3 HID Kit. If you want HID's for your low beams, Get 9006 HID Kit.

Yes the headlights are adjustable. But that doesn't change blinding people. If you want to get the right kinda bulb for your stock headlights, get a D2R Bulb. D2S is made for Projectors and will glare like no other inside your stock headlights. You can't change this! No matter what kinda adjustments you do. You can save yourself a little trouble with a D2R Bulb, since its made for non projector housings.

If you adjust your headlights to go lower, your pretty much killing the reason to get HID's. you'll be pointing your headlights to the ground and wont get any light output on the street far enough to make it worth anything. My HIDs inside my stock headlights are adjusted completely level... the light output rocks! I have D2S Bulbs. So I get glare. The oncomming traphic is just getting glare, not the whole headlight beam... as long as you dont point your headlights upward.

How do you tell if the set you buy is D2R? what brands make D2R? Any recommended sites?

You can certainly use HIDs in foglights. The light output will be greatly increased and will allow them to be very usable.

For headlights they are also certainly an option - you'll just need to order the kit with the right bulb type. D2R is a bulb type that OEM cars use in their HIDs. If your housings don't use D2R you won't really want to bother trying to convert to them. However I can get a D2R kit for you. You will be able to save a lot of glare and blinding to oncoming traffic but depending on the quality of your headlight and cutoff some glare will still be there - you can just reduce how it affects the traffic.

If you are interested in a kit or two let me know or if you have any questions - [email protected].
