San Diego,
 I like the roof scoop I've seen on some of the 2g Eclipse...

I have a 1997 Eclipse GS (going show...sorry don't have money to constantly tune my car...I'd rather get the girls!)...I was wondering if the roof scoop can be put on?

Oh...I'm the one who started the Bomex kit thread- just ordered (haha)...I even got the aero mirrors!

Anyone want my old Blitz kit- been on for two months now (stock silver)?

is there a finction to the hood scoop thing?? or is it just a look good mod? I know that on rear and mid-engine cars a hood scoop is practical but what function does it have on a front engine car? just wondering.......

It has no use, just looks nice.

That actually depends on the installer. And it would be to bring in cold air from the out side into the cockpit. Look at most pro drag cars, they have a hatch that's above the driver to cool the inside of the car before races. Now, most of the ones I have seen are just for looks, but I know a guy that had a neon (yeah I know  )who spent around 2g to have one istalled with a electric door in the front of the scoop. He'd hit a switch and it would rotate like a butterfly valve and let air rush in thought the hole that the sunroof used to be in. It was actually pretty cool. Still looked like ass IMO on a neon, but none the less it had a function.
