Baby Seats!!

Does anyone use an infant seat in the back of their 1g? I'm going to have to soon or start driving my 240sx. Does anyone have any safety tips for putting the little DSMer in there?

I have only had to strap in a baby seat once to haul around my niece. Granted I have a 2g.

That is the last time that I will EVER attempt to do that. Though I eventually got the seat secured, I highly doubt that it was safe and I was worried the entire time that I was driving.

Your best hope is to find something a bit more roomy for the wee tyke. For your sake and the child's sake.

Aren't there tie-downs/bolts specifically for a baby seat in the hatch/trunk area?

There are tie-downs, last I checked. I had my son in the Laser bajillions of times before it broke. It's a pain, and no-one but a midget that drank coffee as a teen can fit in the front passenger seat. It also depends on the size you use, if you go all-out and get a La-z-boy child seat, its going to suck. I just used the base model with the best safety rating. You should be fine, and besides, you'd rather have the little one's first memory's of boosting being in a DSM and not the Nissan, right?
