My 99 eclipse gs is white with the stock 16' OZ racing F-1 Wheels...I want to paint them gloss black because i cannot afford rims rite now. How do you think that will turn out? Shitty? Will it look nice? :thumb:

My friend and I recently painted my stock 90 GSX wheels, as I was low on money and wanted something different (and I'm getting new rims anyways, might as well experiment). For around $15 or so we bought some rustoleum gloss black and primer. We took all the wheels off and cleaned them as well as possible, then put a number of coats of primer, then a few coats of gloss. It honestly turned out much better than I thought, and so far has held up pretty well. Unfortunately I don't have any good pics, but I can get some if you'd like.

best advise:

CLEAN CLEAN and CLEAN some more. Wash, degrease, wipe clean, and tape off. Once you get to that point just spray and walk away!
