When I bought my 1g the hood was dented in a ### that it wouldnt latch right. Im going to fix that tomorow but I couldnt see the springs that pop the hood up once you pull the release anywhere. I am tihnking the guy who had it befor me may have just taken them out since there is a bunch of othe hack jobs on the car. I looked in some of the engine bay photos and couldnt see anythere either. Long story short can somone tell me where the spring for the hood is on a 1gb?

Awsome, thanks alot man. I just didnt wanna move it so it would latch again and then non be able to pop back up. I'm gonna go move that now so my hood stays down all the way on the freeway....

Had that problem myself once, where the spring wouldn't pop up... ended up having to pop it, walk around front, lift it at the seam a bit, then pop it again, and pull up on the front to slip it out of the primary latch. Not impossible, but a bit annoying. Heh. I'm having the opposite problem at the moment.. latch is set as far down as I can get the bolt-slots to put it, but the hood rattles like crazy at idle. No idea what's up.
