"Chrome Illusion" need help with mine????

Hey i bought a 97 blazer for a winter vehicle up here in Canada . Anyways its chrome illusion but who ever sprayed it didnt put enough clear on it and all the top of the hood and roof kinda turned a dull black and cracked a bit. Anyways i talked to a couple of paint shops around here and said it had a be repainted. So my question is what colour of chrome illusion do i have?? And how much money is it for some paint?? Can anyone get me a good deal on this paint i will make it worth your while!!!!! Heres a pic or 2 of it!! ( i just bought it of a auction for 1000$ so dont make to much fun) !!! Thanks guys!

Sorry I can't help you directly, but any good bodyshop should be able to answer all those questions for you.

as far as i know - just that paint alone is very expensive. (w/o labor)

From what ive been told Flip colors are almost 1,000 dollers for a pint....


Thats how much it was for my freinds FireHawk its a factory Chrome ill/flip color

It looks like it was done with the "3 stage" Rattle can crap you can get at Autozone, or other parts stores.. That type of paint cant be touched up at all. You would need to strip it and start over. I suggest getting a cheapo single color paint job if you dont like the way it looks. Def not worth the price of re-doing it. To have a shop do that type of paint job, you would be looking at around $3000-5000. WTF
