new valve cover *pic*

i decided to jazz up the valve cover from my parts motor. what do you think?

That looks really nice. One thing you could do to give it that much more "jazz" is tape up the edges of all the letters and paint them some sort of accent color to bring them out. That would look good. It looks nice man keep it up

Did you paint it or just clean it really really well? I saw some 500 degree engine paint stuff at Walmart today but wasn't sure if would withstand the heat on the valve cover

As for me, I don't like chicken wire, but it looks pretty clean. The ONLY thing I can think of to make it better would be to wrap the edges with a trim piece so that the edges are smooth and not just chicken wire against the valvecover.

that was what i was thinking last night. i may have to do it. and the cover is painted, i used a flat black 1000* header paint for the base, and gunmetal and bright silver caliper and wheel paint for the top coats. the cover i currently have on the car has a wrinkle finish base coat with a red top coat.

I like it alot, especially the wire cover, like they said put a trim around it, use something like the trim they use on the greyforesthood mod and it will look sweet.

.......like they said i would paint maybe a mitsu logo or slap on the DSM on that bad boy and maybe some way to put on a trim so i doesnt scratch the valve cover ............
