Hey guys. I just bought some dual piston calipers for my 92 AWD, and I can't decide what color to paint them. My car is red with stock wheels painted black, but with the polished lip. (Check gallery for more pics) I can't decide whether to paint them red or black, or something else. What do you think?

I'm thinking the same thing you are and our color schemes are very similar.

Red or black would be great. Anything beats "rock chipped grey".
But I want to be a little different and try some kind of yellow, nothing blazingly bright, maybe a bronze or gold?
Soemthing a little toned-down you know?

Post back what you choose! (pics!)

The ones that I bought were from a junkyard. Both look to have been painted years ago, and are from different cars since one is partially red, and the other partially blue. ROFL So I can't just leave them how they are either. I'm not sure what to do yet...If I painted them black, I have a feeling it might be a little overkill with the black wheels as well. But if painted red, I'm sure they may stand out a little too much. Choices...choices...

I think I'm leaning towards black since other colors may make it look ricey. I think black would be good if it was really glossy. I think it would keep a nice, clean look, and cover the rust.

My 1st choice - same colour as the rims (in your case, black)
My 2nd choice - same colour as the car (in your case, red)

There is no 3rd choice. Any other colour looks tacky IMO.

I would have to say paint them red because it matches the red paint and it will be seen behind the black wheels.

Red no matter what color your car is. Any other color really isn't visible unless you look hard for it; in which case what's the use in painting them?

Example; all ferraris with painted calipers have red calipers, no matter if it's a silver, blue, red, marron or yellow car.

I think either red or gold. Red is the universal brake color (Brembo!) and a solid one would look good w/the car. Gold is also good and is just pure class :thumb:
