Need Help Deciding On Hatchback Solution...

hey guys it has been awhile since i've posted, but here goes anyways.

I have a red 98 GS. The hatch has rusted so much on the lip (i think my spoiler leaked, so when it rained, water just sat inside the lip and did me in!), i had to get a replacement. went to a junk yard and found a grey 95 RS! i was sooo damn excited to find one in good shape, i just bought the thing (it was only 90$!!!) I got it home, started taking off the old one and was going to put on the one i just got and i realized something! IT WAS AN RS, and i have a GS with the rear wiper.... So finally, here are the questions... do i just forget about the wiper, and use my wiper button in the dash for something else, or since i have a perfectly good wiper and pisser, do i just drill the holes in the RS hatch and add the wiper and pisser? If I do not use the wiper, will it mess anything up when it comes to using the NON WIPER wire harness? LET ME KNOW WHAT everyone THINKS!?? THANKS!

OOooo, and yes after i make this decision, the HATCH is gettin repainted!

rear whiper is dumb, leave it off, less weight, and smoother body...put a turbo wing on the hatch before getting it re-painted.

I would love to put the turbo wing on, but i already have the GS spoiler, so i would have to take off the spoiler pieces on the back quarter panels and fill in the screw holes. I'm going to put my old spoiler on the gray hatch (after it is painted), just got to make sure i seal the spoiler very very good, so the same rusting doesnt happen AGAIN! so does anyone know... if i do go WITH OUT the rear wiper, what wire harness should i use, the one on my gs hatch now that includes wiring for the wiper, or the wire harness that came with the rs hatch and has no wiring for a wiper. remember, i still have the switch on the dash for the wiper.

I would go with the harness made for no wiper if you're not using the wiper. Just tie off the dash switch, or use it for something else.

I don't think it's weight will make that much of a difference. Want to make a huge difference in weight in the car? Have the driver NOT be overweight, or have the driver shave some lbs ;X. I find it funny when a fat guy talks about his car being so light, yet he weights 300lbs.

I like the rear whipers, I say try and keep it.

I love the rear wiper in my eclipse, I keep going to press the button for it in my daily driver and then I remember my Intrepid doesnt have one. Keep it if you daily drive the car.

I like rear wipers too. But if your hatch doesn't have holes, don't drill into it. Hook up some neons or something to that switch.
