With my eclipse conversion i want to do projection headlights, does anyone have a pic of a black eclipse with black housing projectors? or maybe even the chrome ones? thanks?

95 bumper/97-99 headlight shape. Yes, I am aware of the gap. No, I do not care. :)

MrBoxx might be able to tell you, but i'm pretty sure that the projector headlights make our poor oem lighting situation, well...even worse. Not to mention the stock 2g black housings look so damn good. However, if you are sold on the look of a projector headlamp, I would seriously consider saving up some money and looking to get a kit from HIDTECH.COM. It'll give u the projector look without sacrificing (better yet it will actually increase) visibility. It'll not only give u the look you want..but properly set up HID's are just, well....pimp:thumb: .

oh and mrboxx....tell anyone who mentions your gap to you that you did it to promote airflow to the radiator because you front mount blocks it. Then point out to the person that you don't see a front mount on thier car, then give them "the peoples eyebrow" and start flexing, the backhand them. After repeating this process a few times, no one will ever mention it to you again.

This is a sad but true statement. ROFL I know from personaly since I have them too. For me the beam is broken in to three parts and is no where near as bright as stock, and can be dangerous at times. Thats why im taking mine out and when the time comes, ill do an HID conversion.

I personally think that my lights got brighter. But then again the person that owned the car before me had those blue pieses of sh## in.

Honestly, my headlights are brighter than stock and the beam pattern is much better. The highbeams on these are amazingly broad and bright. I've tried two different types of bulb in the projector housing: the H4's (I think) that came with it and some blue-tinted ones. With the blue ones, the beam got noticeably dimmer, so much so that I changed back to the ones it came with. From the sounds of what I've been seeing on here, the newer versions of projector headlight don't perform as well or have issues with the LED ring burning out quickly. I've had no trouble with bulbs, LED's, or beam pattern or brightness.

I wish I could do the people's eyebrow. ;)

Heh, I can. Anyway, I know my car isn't black, but I have black projectors too. Very similar to MrBoxx. Bright as hell to me. I like them.

He might be onto something here, could just be one of those luck of the draw type deals. I guess I should probably give some thought that not "all" aftermarket projectors reduce visibility, as I see some have had some luck with them. Personally, I will be doing a retrofit kit through HIDTECH.com, I'll keep you posted how it turns out.

This is the only picture I have, but you get the idea. I'll post more pictures later.

The light output is worse than stock.

You could get some PIAA H1 and H3s from tirerack.com, their output is 110Watt and they take 55watts of juice.

Before my HID retrofit, I thought my projectors with Silverstars was way brighter than stock with a much better beam pattern and even cut-off. Maybe Mr.Boxx and I just got lucky and were shipped high quality units.

I think that's the case, where it's a hit-or-miss. As soon as one of the bulbs burns out, I'm going to replace all four of them with Silverstars and see what happens. I can't justify spending $80 on light bulbs when the ones I have work fine. So I'm hoping one burns out soon. :)
