removing 3rd brake light, help!

How do I disconnect the 3rd brake light?? I'm talking about the one on my RS spoiler. I unscrewed it but there's no plug connecting the wire to light. I don't want to just yank the wire out of there, so do I have to take panel off of the underside of my hatch and disconnect it from there??

Yes, you should see it if you take off the underside panel of the hatch.

Pull the panel off the inside of the hatch, there should be a harness in there.
