Anyone have any experience with the Panasonic CQ-VD7700U i was looking into picking one up in the spring and was wondering if Panasonic makes good headunits or any other information you may have. additionally does anyone know if you can bypass the handbrake with this headunit? http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=pancqvd7700u

Thats really nice, i am looking into monitors and navs for my car, but for the price of that one you could find a nice navigation, but if you dont want nav. thats a nice monitor.
the shiny black plastic reminds me of my PSP. :D

i would suggest getting one with a detachable face. and i also wouldnt suggest paying more than $7-800 for it either! i have a clarion and it works and looks great too! pics are in my profile but you cant really see the radio itself..it was a night shot and was looking really nice that night LOL :sneaky:

thats a lot of money. for that kind of cash you can have a carputer. i have a popout in dash screen and a indash dvd player/am/fm tuner. paid all of 300 for it and it works fine. i bought it all off ebay 2 years ago. no problems.

i have the 7001 panasonic in my ranger and a cqc-5401u in my laser. I love panasonic and i work at an audio shop and have experience with the clarion/eclipse/panasonic/and jvc decks and i like panasonic the best. The screen you are lookin at is nice but if you dont need the sd card stuff and can do without the little screen when the 7 inch is closed i would go with the cheaper newer CQ-VD7001U the picture is great and it also has navigation capabilities. :thumb: plus it is XM ready where the higher models are not

mines is also touch screen :sneaky:

Nothing wrong with Panasonic in my eyes. I have a Clarion flip out (VRX935VD) and love it though. Yeah, you can bypass the handbrake, it should be pretty simple. Not sure if I'm supposed to tell you how in a thread though, haha.
