Tried searching, and tech guides aren't loading up for me right now.

I just need a pic of how the stock mitsubishi cd changer mounts in the trunk. Just got one and need to install it. Also, if my 95 GST came with the infinity package (amp, larger speakers) is it already wired for the cd changer?

I remember seeing one black cable in under the metal hump in the hatch, but my cd changer has cords for 2 connections.

And yes, I have the factory head unit... but the real old one that had JUST the tape player and equalizer (double din size). Any trouble with this?

You'll need the mounting bracket, and the carpeted cover is a nice touch

It should be. Look in the hatch for the right side taillight bulb access. However, larger speakers wasn't part of the deal.

The DIN cable is the data cable to the head unit, the other plug is the power for the changer.

Yes. It will only work with the 6-disk changer, and has a different DIN cable than the 10-disk changer.

Thanks for the reply defiant.

1st link should show me all I need to know, still need to go fish for the wires for the cd changer. 2nd link is dead...typo?

Meanwhile, a new problem has developed. My stock infinity amp is toast. Somehow it looks like someone spilled a bunch of water and the amp sat in the pool of water for a bit. I got a new one, but the amp wire harness, has 3 wires that is pulled from the plastic harness itself.

Is there a way to repair this? I'd solder it back, but I can't solder the wires back into the plastic itself. I'd also like to request a diagram of the harness pins so i can correctly re-attach the wires to the right slots in the harness.

TIA,
alex

**edit- just found the pin diagram using the search button. +1 to search. But still need suggestions as to how I'm going to re-attach the loose amp wires to the plastic amp harness. I doubt I can just jam them back in with hopes of them staying.
