Is blue cloth interior Rare? In a 1996 RS ?

Hi guy's I recently picked up a 1996 eclipse RS 5speed for parts and it has a blue cloth interior. When I go to sell it people think it has been dyed or painted but honest the whole thing is blue. So is it rare?

I have heard that early 95' had an blue interior option. Many ppl mistake it for another shade of gray. There was a discussion on it quite some time ago in a thread. It had pics also, you can ###### dig it up if you search.

i also have heard of early 2gens with a blue interior, but more then likely you have some sort of aftermarket interior on your hands.

I'd say thats pretty rare, Only one I've heard of was on a 2g gsx.

I have some pics I will attach them if possible. But its factory interior not aftermarket. I know the orginal owner and it was always blue he said. But my buddy for some reason says the interior is gray but when u look at the plastic pieces they are cleary blue NOT gray.

I was just wondering if it was rare by chance...

well I sent the pics to someone on this site he said its gray but still in person it looks blue. so w/e i got some weird color interior .

The first Eclipse I looked at when I was trying to find a car was a silver 96 RS with blue interior. I think it made the inside look bigger.

Yea, if you have blue interior, it's pretty rare. It's more like a grey with a blue tint to it, which is why it's not so visible in pics.

But do people want it? No. Black leather interior is coveted the most.

That's what i had stock. Trust be, it's gray. My factory stat sheet says it's mineral blue. (which is just a nice way to say not blue. i replaced those seats and made my own dashboard kit. Check it out.

I saw a stock blue interior for the first time the other day. It is clearly blue and not gray when you see it in person.

I have been sellind OEM Mitsu parts for a bit now and I have seen the blue option in CAPS quite often but had never actually seen it. Now that I have I don't like it.

I've seen one in a junk yard. Not the best looking, but probably the rarest. Somebody that has that interior would probably be able to use that stuff.

if all was said and done i would say that it would be rare in a 99 eclipse if anything.


other than that yeah its rare. not sure about in a good way or not.
