I have the Apexi S-AFC 1 and I'm not very happy where it is mounted. I've seen mounts made for the S-AFC2 but unfortunately I have the first one. I have it slid in my vents and when I give some gas, most of the time it falls down. Any suggestions anyone?

If your willing to sacrifice the center vent, here is a face plate the keeps the buttons but removes the vent and lets you mount your SAFC into it.

The one for the air vents is exactly what i've been looking for. Thanks. I've heard tho that the glove box ones look real good too

for temporary use you can place the safc above the wents in that crack. go slighty left of the center, slide n and then over to your right, it kinda hooks the attachments in there. mine never comes out or moves

Check out rb26dett's mount. He didn't have to sacrifice his center vent. This is the cleanest one I've ever seen.

i have the safc in the center vents as well. however mine has 2 gauges and the safc mounted. i don't have pics right now. but i bought it on ebay. i searched for i link but could not find one. i like mine.

I molded mine in the center vent myself. looks great, I like it a lot more now than when it was in my glove box.

I agree, although I do like Catbox_95's too, but I just can't sacrifice anymore vents than necessary in the South Florida heat...

(this is rb26dett's by the way - not mine)

if any one is interested, my friend has a 98 GSX and in place of his air bag, he has a lap top on a police style pull out mount, it slides in and the stock airbag cove closes with a small magnet latch and looks stock, i'll try to take som pics of it and i'll post them

If it wasn't freezing out, and I was dressed, I'd go out and get pictures of mine. I made a custom mount for it, for in the center console. Fits great, and you can't see it unless you open the console, so it doesn't scream "STEAL ME!!!"

so what happens when you turn the heat or cooler on? it just blows on the back of that panel?

i blocked mine off. this means twice as much air goes through the door vents.

Agreed, I blocked mine off with multiple duct tape layers. And also it does blow twice as well through the side vents. The only bad thing that I've found because of it is that if you close off one of your side vents then they whistle...but, DON'T shut them and you'll never consider that center vent again.

I see you have nothing under the CD player what i did use use that space I kept the tray cut it to fit the S-afc what i liked about it i could hide it in the tray if i was in a bad area it was real nice snug fit all you need is a saw and some sand paper to get rid of the rough edges and cut a hole in the back of the tray to run the harness through...my 2 cents :thumb: good luck
