I recently purchased a used Pioneer Premier DEH-230 from a friend. By recently I mean 2-3 weeks ago. I has worked perfectly until today. I was driving along and suddenly for no appernt reason the sound all throughout my car had stopped. I figured, damn, but no big deal I'm sure I didn't wire it together tight enough or something. (I put in headunit, amp, sub all together at the same time myself.) So I come home later and tear apart the inside of my DSM. Everything looks fine..but to be on the safe side I rewire everything and reground it. I head back to the trunk and check my amp..It's not working properly so I take all those wires out and put them back in. Everything was done properly no problem. I put the fuses all back in for everything and start her up. Nothing. The headunit works perfectly..aka everything lights up and ..well functions properly. The only sound I'm getting is through my sub...Just the sub hitting and vauge music.

Any thoughts?

Setup..
Pioneer Premier DEH-230
Scocshe Amp (I wanna say an 800watt amp, but i could be mistaken)
One 12in Eclipse Audio sub

Thanks in advanced guys! :dsm:

Just becasue I didn't add this in earlier, I know it isn't the speakers becasue when I wired the stock DSM tape player deal into it...just to check that very problem...All the speakers worked perfectly.

Thanks.

Well if the speakers work with the stock deck but not the Pioneer, then I would say the outputs on the Pioneer went bad. If you can, hook it up in another car to their existing speaker wires and see what happens. If there is no sound from the deck in another car, the deck is bad.

That is what I was thinking about doing, now all i need is someone to donate their car to my casue.

Hypothetically speaking, what if the Pioneer deck works in their car? Then is it my car at fault..?
