I just got a blitz fatt and my viper alarm doesnt allow it to be armed when the engine is running so the basic idea would be to have the tt arm the alarm after it counts down.........Is this possible and has anyone done it?

Oh man, really complicated subject, it actually all depends on the make and model of the alarm.... you can actually take it down to the place that installed the alarm and tell them you want your turbo timer wired into that, thats what i had to do to mine, they charged me 10 bucks, but now i know how to do it with my alarm, but i have a clifford, yours is completely diffrent.....

ahhh, i am trying to do the exact same thing, except i bought the car with the alarm. and the only local place will prolly charge me my left nut. if anyone figures out how to do this let me know. I have an Apex-i AutoTimer and an UNGO alarm. Thanks,
Mike

tried it, i set the alarm off and couldnt disarm it b/c the car was still running, had to wait till the tt shut off. it was quite a mess. i think im going to have to wire up some kind of relay. i'll post if i figure it out

I have the same problem with my Python alarm not liking the fact my car is still running so it won't arm. Did you ever get it figured out? if so, how?

Thanks,

~DC

With my Viper all I had to do was wire my ignition sense wire (yellow for me) to a switch. That basically means that the alarm only knows that the car is running when I want it to. I usually leave it off unless I need to reset the alarm.
This way I can arm my alarm at any time, as long as my switch is turned off.

It usually chirps twice after being armed and not tripped. If it is tripped it will chirp 3 or 4 times. Also, the interior led will blink until the car is "turned on" after being tripped. Not a huge problem, just a little annoyance.
