Upholstering seats

Has anyone ever had this done before? I'm gonna try and get an estimate on the two front seats tommorow. I'm gonna get them done in black. How much did it run you?

Don't tell me to get the vinyl spray, because thats why i'm getting them redone. That shit wears off.

Never had it done, but asked about pricing @ the local upholstery shop. It really depends on how nice of material you want, & if you want it re-padded / re-shaped.

Single color normal material & piping shouldn't run you to much for a pair of seats.

Oh, well I just want new leather put on. The cost of the material is gonna be expensive to a point I imagine.

My mom does it for about $300 a bucket, but she normally does limo's. $300 everything included, you just pick the material.

exactly, unless you are going with something custom, i would suggest trying to find a nice pair of used seats.

I had a thread on here a month or so ago showing the job me and my gf just did on my car, we did both front and rears, black vinyl w/grey suede inserts. They came out very nice, but we got some serious insight as to what kind of labor actually goes into a job like this and in order to make it worthwhile we figured that we probably would have had to charge someone a few hundred bucks a seat (granted this was the first time, so it was a little slow going) If i had decided i just wanted a plain ol' black leather or cloth bucket, after doing this job, i definitely would have just looked for something used.
