clearing up my headlights, got some questions

now i know how to take out the headlights, take out the amber peice and all that good stuff. im gonna be painting the chrome part black, like on a 2gb. what should i sand the chrome peice with? should i paint it with black krylon fusion? what clear coat crap works best? and also what polishing stuff for the headlights could i find at autozone? i tried searching but nobody got specific about painting the peice at all. if there are threads, feel free to verbally harass me and point me in the right direction. thanks.

I just used some regular automotive primer and some black spray paint when I did mine. Nothing special. Nothing should ever really touch the black parts, so I don't think you'll have to worry too much about it. I don't think I even put clear coat on them either.

yeah it will work. i wetsanded before i did mine.
