Hey guys, I already searched on this, but only one thread came up and nobody had replied to it. I want to take this rear wing off and re-paint it myself since it's all faded. Anybody know how to remove it with out causing any damage?

thanks for the misinformed link. If you had read my profile, you would see that I have a 1990 talon, not a 1992-1994.

Sorry, didn't get around to doing the 1ga style spoiler yet. It's pretty much the same for the center peice. The wiper will have to be removed to get it off though.
The two sides, you remove the same 2 screws on each side as shown in the 1gb wing removal. After that, you slide them front (Im not posotive, will have to check when I do the removal article, you may have to slide them back)
There should be 2 screws in the door peice that goes up to the mirror although I don't remember for that peice either.
Also the antana removal will be the same as in that 1gb link

My 90 Laser had heavy duty double sticky tape. It was a pain to remove it leaving plenty of scratches.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I cannot for the life of me get the center section of my spoiler off. I took off the wiper arm, brake light, interior panel, and the two 10mm bolts. What else do I have to do to slide the spoiler off?

the clips that are still on kind of snap into place. basically you are going to have to (i found this the easiest on mine) stand behind the car facing it, then use the palms of your hands to kind of hit/push the spoiler back towards you. Its hard to explain, but the plastic clips need to pop off the screws under there and the spoiler has to slide back for this to happen

what about the 1gb ECLIPSE wing? I dont have 10mm bolts under the trunk...where else do i look because its loose and rattles and i just want to tighten it up

Can you get a picture of the two 10mm bolts and location, mine rattles like hell and I need to get those bolts. :thumb:

I have taken off my right section of wing that doesnt have the antenna going threw it because a month or so back a deer hit the side of my car causing a dent in the rear quarter panel which i pulled out but my wings corner was a little lose so i took it off today and one of the plastic clips that are on the bottom side of the wing that goes into the frame of the car and the mounting bracket one is broke. I cant figure out how to remove it or where can I find a replacement.

No you cant replace it, once its broke its broke its part of the spoiler, i used jb weld to hold mine in place it works for me.

Here are some pictures to show what I am talking about
