Chilliwack,
i have a 90 talon tsi, i want to hear some reviews from people who have the drift kit or had one on there car. any good? waste of time and money? some info on it would be much appreciated :talon:

What exactly are you asking? Waste of money? Thats more of an opinion questiong then anything else. For someone wanting performance and dont care about looks, yea its a waste of money. For someone who wants it, no its not a waste at all.
Any good? - depends where you get it. Got mine from Andy's and it was good.

Other info - on your car, it will fit the rear and sides fine. Unless you find a 90-91 kit, it will not fit your front without modification. You have 2 choices at that point. Either swap over to 92-94 headlights/fenders/hood OR get it cut and reglassed to work with your lights.
Any other questions just ask.

Most body kits are not properly engineered or wind tunnel tested. They will do absolutely nothing for you. Why not make the car faster, so you have some "GO" before you worry about "SHOW" . Just a suggestion. Trust me it's embarrassing getting spanked with "SHOW and no "GO" Whatever you decide good luck.

Body kits in general are a waste of time and money. Think of the money you will be spending:

Body kit $600+
Paint $600+
Body work $300

$1500+. That's a lot of money just for some plastic. Not to mention most of the body kits are fiberglass and break so easily. My friends integra has rock chips on his bumper and its cracking like crazy just from daily driving, my factory one is 95% spotless.

Meh, I'm going to be getting a Drift kit (found someone who makes 'em for the '90-91 model years) because my front bumper is cracked to crap already, and Satan wants $250 for a new stocker. The Drift bumper is only $220, and looks pretty decent, of the ones available.

Hey, at least he isn't going for the 'invader' front bumper.

hmmm I do all my body work myself. And 600$ for a body kit is just plane stupid. I would buy the front maybe to some perfomance mods then but the sides...stuff like that. And for poeple out there. Maybe the guys who like body kits think performance is a waste of time. Maybe they like there cars the way they are performance wise and want to change the look at little bit. You need to look at it from both points of views before you say its a waste. My car was show for a long time and I never raced I picked up more chicks in my car that way then after I modifed my motor. When people ask you to race you just say "I have nothing to prove to you!" in the most dick headed tone you can..people will leave you alone

Lol i like this guy! good point! for me I cant do performance...damn 1.8, so im making the car look good and thanxs to you i'll be saying that line alot! ROFL :thumb:

haha I totally agree although its mainly personal preference. I think body kits look retarded... but that's just me.

Its a good thing that you do all the body work yourself though, save a lot of money. It costed me 300 bucks just to get my door handles painted to match the exterior. :toobad:

i was just wonderen (not tryen to steal the thread) i i have a 1g lazer, if i wanted a drift body kit what would i have to do to my front? another question is i was thinken bout getten the talon front bumper as aposed to the body kit, but will it fit without mods or what? thanks a lot, later
