This might sound dumb but where do you guys run your power wire through the firewall in a 2g, I just got done looking and could not find a hole. Plz keep in mind that I am going to run 0 guage wire (I have a 1800 watt Visonic amp). Also I got my headunit stolen a while ago and I just know putting another one in but when it got stolen he just yanked everything out and broke the right side plastic where you dask kit screws into, anyone know anything I can do so it sits in right?

The best tool to use when running your amp power wire is the search tool. ROFL

I didn't want to drill a hole in my firewall just for a power cable so I ran mine up under the hood and down the seal of the door and then back. you can see it if you look over on the passanger side of the car a little but that is alright. It is kind of hard to explain, maby someone else could post up a pic if they have done theirs like this. I would, but my car is missing a hood and engine and a lot of other stuff right now.

Cut a small X in your steering column boot. Same place I routed my boost gauge tubing.

I haven't done it on a dsm, but I've cut a hole in the hood cable boot of another car. That might be too small for a zero gauge, but it's worth looking in to. I had to pull off a tire and the wheel well cover to do it. Maybe there's something in there.

thats were all my stuff runs, from the cabin to the engine bay.

I found a hole already in the firewall on my 2G. It is right behind the glovebox. I have a clusterf*ck of wires and hoses running through there. I believe it would be large enough for 0 gauge, if not, just widen the hole out. I had my 0 gauge ran somewhere under the glovebox on my old 95 GS too.

agreed just grab a dremel, dont hit any wires and grind off a bit until your wire fits. use some silicon to close up the hole after the wires are in if you worry about holes in your car

Yep that port is more then large enough for 0 gauge wire. Iv got several wires and a vacuum line running through that spot and there is still alot of room left for future additions.

I did the same exact thing. Self tapping screw to hold the fuse block to the engine bay, then ran it under the weather stripping and right under the carpeting and plastic pieces all the way under the seats, then through the spare tire compartment. I'll probably change it when I add a better boost guage and other electronics to all go through the steering column boot.
