I wanted to make Carbon fiber hood pin scuff plates and I was wondering if it would be easy to just buy a sheet of hardened carbon fiber and just cut them out with a dremel or if i should have someone make them for me. if so, who should i ask to do this? any reccomendations? also, where can I get a sheet of reasonably thin carbon fiber?

i mean, i know when you cut a sheet of carbon fiber that the cut edge gets kinda white. what can i do about this? should i paint the edge or something? i want my friggen hood pins to be as invisible as possible... i hate how they look and the less you notice them, the better. then again, id rather not have my hood fly up on the highway to, so thats why they are there.

any help or suggestions would be appriciated. thanks.

I never had an issue with it "getting white" while I cut it. They do sell cf looking scuff plates/hood pin sets though. They don't look like the real thing really but blend in nice. If you want though, pm me . I have tons of already finished scrap you can have to mess with it you want. Most is already clear coated at least once. Just cut it out for what you want , sand a little and respray it with some clear.LOL paypal me $0.36 for a stamp LOL just pm me your addy.
