Taillight harnesses missing?

I was looking at my taillights the other night and noticed that on both sets that the start of the left taillight and the end of the right taillight do not light up. I figured the bulbs were dead, but when I popped the covers in the hatch to take a look I noticed that there were no bulbs and no harnesses to be found! Is this normal? Doesnt seem to be to me. I havent pulled the panels or lights off to see if the harnesses are actually there but tucked in, but from feeling around I couldnt find anything. Here is a poormans diagram of which lights im talking about:

Hmmmm. Missing outer bulbs is definitely not the case on the 3 2Gs I've owned .. on the 2G eclipse that outer bulb should come on with the accessory lights, although it does not act as a brake light or turn signal. Hope this helps.

Ahh the misfortunes of owning a used car. I will peel the panels off and start the search. Worst case if the harnesses/bulb sockets are indeed missing and cut, I'll find some and rewire them in. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt searching for something that isnt there.

Wow, 1 month later I finally got around to it. Turns out the sockets and bulbs(still working!) were just hanging inside the panels for some reason. No idea why the previous owner would have disconnected them.

I have a similar problem. I replaced my aftermarket taillights (still available ) with a stock set, but I only have the side marker/brake lights and the turn signals. But theres 4 places on each taillight right? Three big bulbs and a smaller one? I looked in my Haynes manual and it says one of them is a reverse light? Last time I checked my reverse lights were in my bumber.

Anyway my question is what am I missing and where can I buy them? They aren't necessary because I have the important lights, but who wants an incomplete car?

And since the subject is missing parts, I'm also missing my rear-most trunk panel. I'll probably just have to stop by a junkyard for that right?
