I want BRIGHT lights. I took the stock ones out and put projectors in about a year or two ago and, well they suck. The good looks is no longer out weighing the lack of lighting. What route do you guys suggest I go to get the most light? Not only do these POS projector lights display poor light, when it rains they fog up. Every rubber/plastic cap on the back of the light has melted and fallen off. I am sure the thing to do is HID. Thats fine, if so what housing should I use and where would be the best place to purchase high quality that will last?

well the housing won't matter as much as your HID equipment will.... you'll want some german projectors (audi/bmw) and some bulbs and ballasts i believe hidtech or something like that has a good forum to look up info on it...there used to be a sticky about this some where?

just remmeber it won't help you fogging up no seals problem, sinceyou will be modifying your existing projector housings to fit the hids.

Keep in mind that lighting is much less about brightness than dispersal. 100W bulbs won't matter if the reflectors can't gather up the packets of photons and throw them in front of the car.
You'd probably show great improvement in going back to stock reflectors with SilverStar bulbs.

you guys think that swapping out the h1 and h3 bulbs and putting the 9005/9006 in will help any? I will take a little work and modification but I still have those bulbs here. If not any ideas where I can get some stock 98 headlights in good condition?
Thanks

I don't think so... they will more than likely be worse since with 55w h1s you are not liking the beam pattern from the projectors, and you would be switching focal length AND going to a lower wattage lower lumen bulb.
