any body seen this woofer yet? link

At that amount of wieght don't know what kind of vehicle would even be able to haul that thing around. and forget about installing it yourself it would almost be like swapping an engine. you will most likely need an engine hoist of some kind. what kind of amp(s) will you need to power it up? what gauge speaker wire?

Iv actually seen one of these already it was in demo vehicle and i was talking to the guy. the box it requires is MASSIVE the recomended box for a sealed is 10 cubic feet... as for how it sounded i wasnt overly impressed. far from being a SQ sub...

well from the webpage says you can use it with either a SQL cap or a SPL cap. never heard one though, but at 22" i cant imagine it sounds good.

Theres 21" subs, and 34" subs already out. Keep in mind, bigger is not always better.

I would power it with a Crown amp....like 8000 watts at 2 ohms...

yeah, but are they as powerful as this(mtx)? my bud a few years ago had an 18" stroker powered by a macintosh amp and that thing was awesome. I cant imagine what this thing(mtx) would sound like with double the power.

now that i think about it, your car probably wouldnt be safe to drive down the road after having that sub setup for a lil while LOL, imagine what those vibrations could do to all the bolts and crap

i am a mtx dealer and they gave a stop at my store and it is something like 330 lbs it is up to my belt and i am 6'2"
me and my guys talked them in to leating us plug it in the wall :thumb:
but it hardly moved LOL!
they sad they have no limits on power because they cant blow it
and they do the math and it comes out to like 10,000 WATS WTF
and my cost is more then my car :p

check out this sub by buddy is putting in two in a 96 jeep
it is a stroker pro max is 5,600 RMS and if we blow it they will replace it :sneaky:
and some pic am the demo car
sorry for the pic's there all f up

That is one beautiful stealth. Ive owned a 3000 forever and i have been on the3si forums for a while and i have never seen that car. Very intersted about it. More pictures please?

it is in the body shop now
it was put together for a show and the paint has to be redone
the car was built for panasonic as a demo car
it will be going on tower soon
there is a lot of custom work going on here and can't show it all now
will keep you posted :thumb:

The site recently changed, but adire audio used to have pictures of their most advanced subwoofer. You have to see it to believe it. The mtx, xxx, stroker, are nothing compared to this driver. It doesnt even look like a speaker, its insane. Its a giant motor structure with a big square plate attatched.i havnt looked at it ina while so i dont know the exact specs, but its very impressive...and expensive.

i've hurd somthin like that not 22" tho, it was an old school 18" juggernot it pounded the piss outta this lowered dodge ram srt10 quad cab... i could only imagin what that mtx sounds like. i'm currently lookin at 3 kicker solo barric L7 12" that i picked up for my car i don't think they'll even come close to sounding anything like that mtx OMG

mmmmmmmm... solo barric L7.. i miss those so bad. i used to have 3 in my celica. they sounded so nice.

We had a preproduction CV Stroker (the new one) at the shop I worked at..

I will say this. I was disappointed in it.

Smaller and less Xmax and real power handling than the 12" Pioneer or the 18" Solo X or even the old PG titanium (the big one)

Strap 4 1200.1 kickers together and get a solox, but only if you have an Avalanche to carry the box around and a second alternator for the amps.

Or jsut get a nie set of GOOD 12" subs with decent power and you will have all the bass you ever need, and it will fit in the car too.

That one is as bad as teh MOFO subs that need a 6 cu ft box for 1 12" sub...
