Where do you guy's mount your SAFC

I had mine mounted in the top left side of the windshield. you could fold it up out of the way. NOONE ever noticed it there. worked great for me

i have it mounted right under my head unit above the lighter and stuff. Want pics? I can get u some if u want. There is no visible wires (well about an inch worth of wire) but its not an eye sore. WTF

I just throw it in the armrest. Since my car got broken into last time and it was stolen I take it out of the car every time I leave it so I don't have a permanent mount any more.

Before I had it mounted uder the radio.

I have mine mounted on the dash with vecro so I can take it off whenever I want to. And I took out the center a/c vent and notched the side of it so the wire could come out and it would sit nice and flush back in. If I could get things to work over here I could have a pic sorry :( Hope that helps! :thumb: :talon:

for whatever reason, the girlfriend had black and white film in the camera at the time.

Sure blame the girlfriend. :p

Previous owner of my TSi had it here:

He fab'ed a mount out of what looks to be aluminum. Very stufdy and thick, no noticeable vibration on-road.

The only thing I've changed about it is that I took the unit off and cleaned off the foam-backed adhesive and epoxy that he used to mount it to the backing, and re-mounted it using "industrial-strength" adhesive-backed Velcro. This allows me the ability to remove the unit rather easily should I need to park her exposed for long durations (i.e. airport, etc.).

I'm thinking of either glassing up a mount for it in the armrest storage, or in the area that has the ashtray/cupholder.

I was just thinking of that. I wanted to somehow hide it by cutting the bottoms out of the ashtray/cupholder and making a mount below it so when its in use I can just remove the false top and there it is.

that's not too bad of an idea, once I get the thing and can mock some stuff up i'll post pics of what i'm doing.

where the cup holders are, i cut them out. Laid some fiberglass and bondo over it. Sanded it smooth then cut just enough to fit my s-afc and avc-r to fit in.

I love your anti-carjacking device. :thumb:
