I just removed a big aluminum wing from my car, and obviously left 4 holes...I was wondering if I should get them welded, just use like JB Weld, or use body filler for them. I dont particularly have access to a welder at the moment. Thanks

Tim

Get a body filler kit, I bought one for 20 dollars canadian. It comes with everything you need. It's cheap and easy to do.

I remember reading where some people used rubber plugs then jbweld.

Try a search, i know there is enough information out there to gt the project done.

Body filler is porous and over time, will allow water to come in contact with the metal of your trunk lid. If you don't mind dealing with rust in awhile, go ahead and use body filler. If you want something permanant, either have them spot welded at a shop, use JB weld, or even try using acid core (plumbing) solder and a propane torch. If you go with acid core solder and the torch, try not to heat the area too much or you can heat-warp the metal.

This is what I recommend,
Get access to a small bit of sheet metal, cut it to strips, or one big strip, jb weld it to the underside, of the holes. then apply your body filler to the section, then featheredge the filler, apply primer, feather edge it, then paint. Its really simple. PM me if you have any questions.

i like nelapse's method the best...i can definitely get ahold of some sheet metal and i think that would make it the most solid and the best looking on the outside at the same time....thanks all of you for your replies though, very helpful
