Well last weekend i decided to change out my blow speakers in the back. I got some speakers from best buy, after i installed them there is no sound coming out of any of the speakers. I mean the head unit turns on and it shows radio stations and i can change the tracks on the cd's but there just isn't any sound that is coming out. I have no clue what it could be or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and yes i have tried to search but i didn't find anything like this.

Its the cable that goes from the head unit to the amp. Gives power and sound to the amp

did the cable possibly come loose from the head unit or the amp? you made sure that the + went to the + and - to - on the speakers? is there some sort of mute on the head? does the amp have a good power and ground (is it powering up?)?

Those are the only things I can think of that would cause problems.... I'd take a multimeter and make sure there's power goign to the amp, and then make sure there's power coming out the speaker leads...

I wired the rear speakers right off of the original wires, i didn't mess with anything on the head unit or the amp. I guess the question i have is would getting an aftermarket headunit solve my problem, i honestly spend about 3 to 4 hours a day in my car commuting from home to school to work and back home i can't stand not being without music anymore.
