My car came with a Code Alarm Pro 3000 alarm on it when i bought it off this guy. The guy didnt have the remote for it, so i had to buy one. Well i got it today (after a year of putting it off).. and i got it programmed. When i went to ARM the car... the doors did not lock. I was suprised...i thought it was a keyless entry system. Then i DISARMED the system, locked the door, closed the door and then hit the ARM button. The car armed and it was working fine... doors locked. I hit the DISARM, and they unlock... Awsome.. it unlocks!!! But it wont lock it? i dont get it... Why have it unlock, but not lock? I have no manual, and i cannot find any info on the internet about this alarm to check its features... I think im gonna call code alarm tomorrow and ask them whats up. Anyone else have this problem with there alarm?

I have two vehicles with Code Alarms and I've never heard of the option to NOT to lock all entry points upon any arming function.

The only option I know that even comes close is that I can choose to have the alarm system always "arm" the car first before it does a remote start . In the set up menu you could disable that function and allow the remote start to take place whether the vehicle was armed at the time or not.

Sounds like a wire problem or such.

Are you sure your taping into the right relay block for Power Locks? It's a pain in the butt to get to.

im not sure of anything with this alarm. It came instaled on the car when i bought it. I have been trying to look for a owners manual or something that might have a wiring diag for the system on it. I know the mod. box itself has a wiring diagram on it. Maybe ill pull the box out and start to trace the wires to the relay box. It has to be a wiring problem... It would be stupid to not have it lock, and only unlock.
