I have had my 2Gb Eclipse Front Bumper for awhile now. But I still have not came around any OEM Headlights yet. The ones I have found are WAY over priced. I am really thinking of going with a nice projector stye without the "Halo" "Angle Eye" junk since I do not care for that.

That was the same problem I ran into..the OEM headlights for both left and right are like in the $400's range..why spend that much when you can get aftermarket projection headlights for $154 for a PAIR. I was going to get OEM but then said screw it.

Actually, there are some for sale @ hirevperformance.com for about $220. might want to check it out.

or you can always check the dsmtrader or junkyards

projectors are pretty...

OEMS actually put out light... they have to.

OEMS with silverstar bulbs... best lighting possible

Projectors= can't see at night but looks pretty driving by.

i have projectors and i see perfectly fine at night. while they dont have anything integrated to adjust them, you can always use your brain and put some washers between the housing and the frame and adjust them that way. took me a few minutes but i got them even and shining where i want them, and not high either(not once has anyone flashed their highs).

DSMtrader.com had none. I did a normal search using 4 surrounding states. Nothing

Local Junk Yards didn't have any 1G's yet alone 2G's.

Found one seller but havn't had a response in awhile.

I might just go Projector. I am tired of waiting. And I do not wan't to spend over $220 for OEM Lights when I can use the remander of my money on something actually usefull like a fuel pump for my car.

Hey, I have projectors, and I easily adjusted them to the right level, and I also think the light output is fine. Honestly, if you are going with full oem look, go with oem lights, but if you will be putting a cf hood and a lip, and other exterior junk like me, go with projectors, they look more aggressive.

Yep.

sums it up.

No one said anything about projector headlights limiting the field of dissipation of the light. It's pretty restrictive. It makes a big difference when you're going around corners at night and you can't see a jogger/fallen tree limb/deer. Another point is that since there is more light concentrated in a smaller area, heavy fog can get pretty annoying to drive through, since you just get glare off of it. Stick with the stockers and just get a nice, clean pair.

Well since we are on the topic of lighting of Projectors...the ones with chrome backing do project more correct?

BacknBlack, dude get projection headlights..don't get OEM ones..I put them on my car and they are truely awesome looking and for half the price of OEM ones why not right?

No, the housing color has no effect on light output.

There is a HUGE Debate over the HID's being illegal blah blah. Check the thread about HID's stickied at the top of the Forum Page. It's a good read and has great info and also has links.

I have done countless research on HID's. Just last week a friend and I did a 6100K HID Kit on his GSR. No glare, no hot spots, cut off point's are just as good as any other OEM HID. You just have to know what your doing and do it right :thumb:

I called a local place that sells OEM Manufactured parts such as bumpers, hoods, fenders, and headlights. I got a price on the OEM 97-99 Eclipse......$134.00 Each.

Very tempting. I might have to spend the extra money to get brand new OEM ones. It will be well worth it I think.

Almost..

Projector housings retrofitted with OEM HID projectors + HID kit =best lighting possible.

Like he said, if you are going to buy the brand new OEM ones, you might as well just do what he said for a little more money. Unless you can get a good deal used OEM. :thumb:
