New system, HOLY POO!

Well, in the past i've had a few systems:

1. 2x MTX Roadthunder 15" in a ported box w/ tweeters (powered by an old thump amp)

2. The above system plus 2x Lightning audio 12" woofers (the bright yellow ones) in a Q-Logic 1cu ft. box powered by the ol' JBL BP150.1

3. Audiobahn ABP10T bandpass box w/ 2x 10" woofers powered by a Pyramid PDB2400D amp

4. 2x Audiobahn AW1006T's powered by the same amp in 3cu ft. ported box tuned to 39Hz

5. 2x profile baja 10" subs in a homebrew MDF box powered by the same JBL BP150.1

6. My new system is 2x JL Audio 10w0's in a box made to the JL audio sealed specs powered by the JBL BP150.1 and it SLAMS

That JBL amp has been bench tested at 236W x1 RMS at 2ohms @12.4V and 302w RMS @ 14.4V

Man, these 2 JL audio subs rival the AW1006T's that i had, and that amp was bench tested at 1756w RMS at 14.4V. All i have to say is these JL Audio's are decently clean when you want them to be, and SLAM when you want them too also! Get JL........

Got the JL's for $140 at a local pawn shop from a friend for the subs, and the box. they are like new, and so is the box. I hope to get some pics tomorrow too.

God, i can't imagine the 13W7! I WANT 4 OF EM!

Yeah, you got the W0's, just imagine the W6's and W7's! I've heard em and they hit HARD. JL is a great company. Even their low end stuff rocks as you just stated.

I had 4 JL Audio 15" W4s in a sealed box. It was a nice wall facing out the back. The box was specifically built for the subs and was divided internally to create two chambers. 2 subs per chamber.

I had a Rockford 1100a2 in 2ohm stereo configuration running the subs.....with an optima yellow top and a 1.5 farad cap backing it up.

It was tight and it hit really really hard. They went amazing low too. I actually put 5 cracks complete through the tailgate(fiberglass).


Damn, I miss that jeep.

I still have the subs and box sitting in my garage. And I have the amp in the Eclipse. .....I guess all I need is another Cherokee and I can it it all back together.

how in the hell did you fit two x18s in a hatch they require way too much airspace. not saying that i dodnt believe you i just dont see all of that equipment fitting

Get a JL 12w6 and then life becomes even better! I love mine.
But hopefully I'll be getting rid of it soon, so I have newer stuff on my car this year. I want a JL 12w6v2.

I would reely like to see pics of your install cookmaster30 becaus ei have 2 12's L7's and i could not fit a ported box in my trunk without removing the seat, i bet that thing would pound, how many db's have you hit?

my friend had 4- 15" subs in the back of his 92 eclipse, with 4 of the RF800 amps (1 to each sub). talk about LOUD

I've seen it done.. had 2 mean green alternators: one in the stock location and another one where the a/c compressor went... yellow tops were inside the box. 2 9515's with 4 a7hc's burped a 168 on a termlab.
