:dsm: I was wondering if the 2nd gen hatches off of a 92 will fit my 1990 gsx. Because i want to puchase the carbon fiber hatch from squid skins but they have it only for a 92 not a 90. Would somone help me out. Thanks, rob.

Just FYI, a 92 DSM is still a 1g. It's the 1gb though. (1ga = 89-91) and 2g's start in 95. A 92 hatch should fit just fine, I would think, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks guys!! yea i should of known about the 2g part :) . Your info was helpfull but more opinions would help even more. Or if anyone has done this swap before and it worked perfect let me know. Thanks for your help.

They're almost exactly the same, only differences might be in bolt hole locations for your spoiler.

as stated, only difference would be if you get a 92-94 talon hatch, would have different wing holes, and a 92-94 laser hatch will either have no holes for a wing, or different holes

As to the spoiler loacation i dont think it even comes with the holes at all for any spoler. So now im wonderng how to connect the stock spoiler on this hatch. Because from what i understand it has a way where it slides on then it screws in to hold it in place. Anyone mess with this before ?

drill holes. simple

the part that the spoiler "slides" onto, are actually screws with large heads, when you tighten them down all the way, they still stick up about a 1/4 inch or less. so you need to drill holes for those
