I am in the market for seats and i am trying to figure out which seat sits the lowest. I am 6'2" so this is a crucila point for me. I plan on getting either the Evo 3 seat or the Corbeau FX1 seat. I heard that sparco released better mounting brackets for their seats but the search i did showed nothing. My stock seat sits as low as possible and as far back as possible so i am looking for a bucket seat (Fixed Back) that can do the same thing or as close as possible. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

For my EVO 2 to get it low enough I ended up just getting the standard side-mount brackets welded to a Sparco base bracket for the 2g. However, even though this is lower than a stock seat, I still almost touch the roof when I wear a helmet. I'm 5'10". I'm sure at your height your torso may be longer than mine... so I'd suggest paying a very close eye to fitment as you don't want to shorten yourself in a rollover hehe.

I'd also heard about "better" mounting brackets from Sparco, but have never seen them first hand. Since I'd already put together a solution I didn't feel like researching them. If you find any info please post it, as I'm still curious what has improved (assuming they exist).

Thanks.

Do you have any pics of the seats installed in your car? Also, how far back is your seat compared to the stock location? I know i slid the seat as far back as it would go. How does that compare with the Evo 2 seat?

I am working on lowering my seat too. I am 6'4" and have to tilt my head to the side to wear my helmet. I bought a SPW seat and thier bracket was the wost pile of ---- I have ever seen. In a week or two here I plan to modify the floor pan and mount the seat 2-3" lower and cut out some of the other bracket space to save some room. If you make a custom bracket, can you click some pics to share?

I'm 6'4 and i fit fine in bewtween the seat...it feels like it's hugging me which makes me feel safer...but i guess were all built differently...but i was impressed i fit into the car so nicely being so tall
