Hello, I want to know, if you know as I can find sponsors for my car..... My car is in Spain, and somebody could be interested.....

Thanks!!!!

you would want to find a company that is trying to get some exposure in your country. since it costs so much to ship and usually american made parts are higher where u are u will want to find some manufactures that are alittle closer to home. just do a search and see what u find. u will need to write up a proposal and get some good pics to send to them. good luck it isnt easy....

Thank you very much! You know some company that was interested in sponsoring my car? Thanks in advance!

What they are trying to tell you is that you must find companies in spain and start contacting them. Show them what you are gonna do to the car, make it look serious and persuade them that your car is good enough/will be good enough to give them exposure that will help them sell mor eparts.Thats what its all about.
Any sponsor looks to what he can get out of helpin you. Will this guy help me sell more parts? Will he be exposed in magazines? Will he be placed good in shows? Does he show on alot of boards and do ppl know who he/his car is? Is there any benfit in this for me to help him out?
Thats the questions a sponsor look at when deciding if they should sponsor a car or not.

I have been ölucky and gotten sponsorship from companies in US and I think its bcs I am on all the US boards and ppl know me over there as well a little bit. Its all about showing off your car! You become an advertisment for them and thats the only reason they will sponsor you...to get PR for their products.

Hey man, I'm sponsored by Rotora brakes. I can talk to the VP of sales and marketing and see what he can do. I'll try calling him this week. But we'll be talking more about my car and the pictures I took of my car for him. Just give me some time. ;)

The key to getting sponsored is to have something to offer the manufacturer when it comes to exposure. They are basically paying you to advertise for them in the same way they'd pay for a radio, tv, or magazine ad. The difference is that they usually pay you in parts as opposed to straight cash.

You need to be specific. You need to tell them everything about your future plans with your car. You need to tell them exactly what you want from them. What I would do is figure out exactly what parts you want, contact every company that sells this product in your area and even the manufacturer. You will want them to know that you are willing and able to do whatever it takes to promote their product.
What you need to understand is that owning a vehicle that has a) no previous awards at national shows and b) no other current sponsors is like having a billboard for rent that is in the middle of no where. These people want to place their adds next to 4 lane highways, where their product/name will get the greatest deal of exposure possible. Most people who get sponsorships have already made the investment into the car to produce a show winner. Once they have proven themselves they will get sponsorship offers for the next season. Sponsorship must be a sound investment for the company, if they are going to give you a part that is worth $100 then you better believe they expect to make $1000+ on your promotion.
Think of your sponsorship proposal as a vehicle resume you want to convince them that your vehicle is something special that they have never seen before. You want them to think that if they don't jump on your proposal someone else will. You will want to have a structured way of listing information. You want to write something that the reader will say to him/herself after reading it that "this person seems like an intelligent and well educated individual" You will want to grammar check and proof read your proposal and use formal language... eliminate slang. You need to make your car's resume stand out from the crowd.
When you send an e-mail be formal, address it to one person. Write in complete sentences. You don't want to send something like

To: People at Greddy who give out the free stuff

Hi my name is _____ and I want a BOV, I was hoping you would sponsor me and stuff.

Hit me bak up Yo!

If you can't find a manufacturer that wants to sponsor you look for a local tuning shop/retail store, chances are if they are just getting into the business world they will need some sort of advertisement. Why not let it be you?...
GOOD LUCK :thumb:

EuroGSTSpyder: In Spain, the world of the sponsor-head of cattle is corrupt! Here there are no quality parts as you have. I look for that some company that she sponsors to me, single to help the import of parts of the USA towards Spain. Here in Spain we do not have good parts for our DSM. Here motors by lack of good parts cannot be gain power. 90% of parts of my car are concerned from the USA. I do not want money, single to be able to take stickers of his products, official form in Spain. Flash: Thank you very much by his aid, I would be very happy in power for being sponsored by rotora, to help to the distribution of his products in Spain. I wait for its answer! miteclgst: I eh sent mails to motegi, bomexaero, but they do not give back answer to me. You could put algun curriculum vitae of sample, I to be able to use? Thank you much to all!!!!!! :thumb:
