Hi hi everyone,
My problem is that my stereo in my 2g RS works great!....except for FM radio! the AM/CD part works great, yet when i go to FM, its just static. The user manual says something about how cars around you can affect your FM signal, but i just think somethings wrong. BTW, its stock radio.

Any ideas? Thanks! :dsm:

Think of it as a blessing. If you want to fix it, the least expensive path is a used radio from someone on the DSMtrader or something on sale at BestBuy or CircuitShitty

Check and make sure that the antenna wire is plugged in at the radio and the antenna. And then make sure that it hasn't been damaged anywhere in between.

I agree on the antenna. It's not traffic or the like. Another thing I've seen happen is for digital radios to go odd in the head- you might try unplugging it from its harness and seeing if it just needs to reset.

If you still get AM reception clearly, it's not the antenna. I had the same problem with my stereo. I tore apart the back panels to get access to the antenna. Everything looked fine, so I drove to a local audio shop. The technician there simply asked me if I still got AM reception.

long story short, I bought a new Kenwood Excelon MP3 player. :thumb:
