Spyder Guys!!! Have U Done This???

I'm about to pull out the strut tower brace and weld in a low profile brace so I can utilize that space.
Has anyone here got any experience doing this? Any side effects? The brace I'm using should stiffen eveyrthing up but I wanted to know if anyone has a better way of doing it....

It's the X-Brace in the trunk between the strut towers, sort of, when u pull out the rear panel.

i think the cross brace is there to make sure you dont put shit there to have clearence for the converti top. but if you leave the top up i would guess its fine to store shit there.

my buddy says he put in a rear stb on his spyder. he said he had some clearence issues when he put the top down, he said the glass would get stuck, and you would have to push the glass forward a little bit so it slid right infront of the stb and let the rest of the cloth rest in the space. which was fine for him, since he blew his motors and had to manhandle it anyways.
