...So i have a gauge cluster thats white faced out of my 91 GSX. I have two people swearing up and down that there overlays, which i disagree with. The screws holding the cluster in look to be untouched and i know the previous owner, and i doubt he had the knowledge or motivation to change them.

I've never seen them on any other DSM. So do i have factory white faced gauges??

Thanks,
bobo

..Intresting, the cluster looks excatly like the factory black style but in white. The only difference is that is doesnt say use premium fuel only( but it does have a boost gauge in the cluster).

Maybe im delusional but i could have sworn i saw a 1 gen white cluster in the classifieds a while back. I dunno.

Thanks for your input,
bobo

Yeah, they did it in 99 for the 10th anniversary. I don't know any car in 1991 that had something like that from the factory.

The 89-94 Maxima SE had them back in the day, I believe it was the first car to have white gauges that reversed at night.

they are aftermarket....these days you can buy faces that direcly replace the stock ones, look like stock, but = another color. no 91 came with that and im not sure how you can look at a tiny screw in there and determine it was never touched. Iv switched my gauge faces and the screws dont look touched either

Maybe im delusional but i could have sworn i saw a 1 gen white cluster in the classifieds a while back. I dunno.

alot of people switch gauge faces, and white is the most common to switch to.....
