is there any way to chang the color of the lights on ur gauge cluster, with out buying a new plate?

TechT, you mean sand the back of your NEEDLES and recolor them?

be careful, the light from the bulbs are quite yellowish, so you will get a green/crap looking color if you go blue. As far as your gauge cluster, you can go with a EL (indiglo) style like a reverse indiglo overlay for your numbers, lines, etc.

If you were talking about your hvac, defrost, cc, fog light, side mirror, dimmer and rear wiper lights, then you need to take each switch apart and put an LED in there. I will not go into details, there is a million long thread regarding how to do it just look through the past few days.

i would like them green bc it goes with every thing in my car. see i was thinkin i could pull the bulb and maybe put in like green LEDs. so im just gonna make my friend do his cluster first to see how it turns out. LOL

just keep in mind that the yellow film is in the gauge faces, not the bulb itself. Also, as for sanding the back of the actual face, the stock gauges have the yellow pretty close to the front. Also, when you sand the back you are sanding all the extra black paint that keep the light even. If you want a particular color/layout, maybe check www.speedhut.com?
