Stupid motorized seatbelts!!

Has anyone coverted from the annoying motorized seat belts to a regular seat belt setup? I'm really sick of dealing with these belts; I'd like to go to regular belts. I've got a '92; when did the motorized belts go away (I'm assuming as soon as airbags came standard)? Do '94 DSMs have airbags?
