just make shure it dosnt crack where they meet

is this really the answer? if it is this simple y would people even say that fiberglass cant bond to plastic?

I think fiberglass will stick to anything if it is prepped right. I don't see how plastic and metal are any different when bonding to FG as they are both in a cured, hard state......Make sure it is clean and maybe mark it up with some low grade sandpaper before you start.

yea but plastic bends more so it can crack where they meet

reinforce it with small straps of metal pop-riveted to the plastic and fiberglass right over those metal straps. that will help keep it from cracking where they meet..
