ive been contemplating this for awhile now about having a custom install of turn signals put in my front fenders, like euro style or vw style well u get the picture. anyone tried this b4? i asked a guy at a shop said its like hour or 2 and not too hard but if u dont know what ur doin could be a pill. do they sell fenders for our car with that light set up? all i find are m3 fenders etc... anyone know?

iv have never seen anyone that sells them, would most likly have to be a custom job. would be cool though. iv thought about doing something like that on my 1g but never got around to doing it. if you do it, good luck :thumb:

The lights are available on eBay. You need to cut holes in the fenders. There are some of the BMW fishgill fenders that already have the holes, but we know you wouldn't dare do that.

Someday I'm going to mount a large amber LED on the bottom of my side mirrors. You'd never see it until it lit, and just a little forward and it won't be in the driver's line of sight.

I have seen a 95 eclipse around here that has custom lights in the fender. I think he just bought some lights and mounted them on the fender. Havent seen it up close but at night it looks good.

yeah thats what i was figuring id have to do a custom. id do the same set up as the newer cars and just have them only go on when i hit the turn signal. i saw a car around here where the dude wired them to stay on all the time when he turned his lights on.... looked kinda dumb. maybe sometime soon ill have the install done with clear lenses and white led bulbs. when and if i do it ill post some pics for everyone to see.

my friend has it done. he just got some off a dub in a junkyard and hooked them up, looks good and it a small detail that adds to the car.... and different. :thumb:

ok heres an update, i asked the local performance shop how much to do the work, and he said labor 65 dollars plus cost of parts, so im gonna have it done, but im thinking im gonna use the volkswagon smoked front fender signals, im gonna switch out the bulbs for white led's and as i said ill post pics when its done for all to see these are the ones im gonna probably use.

they could stay white, if he called them "driving lights" or like the curb feelers that are on old peoples buicks

luckily here in pennsyltucky (pennsylvania) the state troopers dont really care too much about that stuff. so long as your not speeding or racing or doin anything dumb they kinda look the other way.
