I have one myself (waiting to get car out of storage next year so I can put it on along w/my 97-99 conversion).. I've seen a few of them and I think it's a lot cleaner and better looking than body kits. It only drops the front an extra 2" which isn't that noticable, so no, it doesn't look out of place. PM me if you want more pics of them on cars.

It blends in so well it's not noticeable. Don't worry about it.

just be careful the 2" lip with the oem 97-99 bumper sits very low. But don't get me wrong, it looks great. But from experience, i had to raise my car from a 2.2 inch drop to a 1.5 and still scrape even today. Good luck

Here is a pic of my car before skirts but with the RMDSM lip. I am lowered though, on eiback pro-kits. Maybe it will help:

thats my other fear, scraping and botoming out i have enough of that problem where i live and im stock height. How strong are the front lips? i know not to get the plastic one but the carbon fiber one should be strong as all heck right? thats the rmdsm one right?

I have the plastic one, RMDSM. I scrape almost everyday and it hasn't broke yet, even after a few hard scrapes and bumping into curbs. I have had it since May and it still looks fine. I have heard the the carbon fiber ones are more prone to breaking cause they do not flex.

the plastic one would be much stronger than carbon fiber and cheaper to replace if it does break.

A friend of mine had a RM lip on his lowered car, and broke it after three weeks of daily driving.

I designed a flat lip that doesnt reduce ground clearance. Ive driven with it for over a year now including through winter and its still perfect. Here are some pics:

It is better than the ones that hang down, but if it sticks forward, it still affects your approach angle doesn't it?

He must have been hitting curbs and stuff, I have had mine since May and it isn't even cracked.

On the one in the picture, what does it look like from the side. I think the front end of the stock bumper angles up a little in front and if that is the case your lip would too. This would cause front end lift at high speed, right?

I suppose. I had to change the way I drove into driveways when I lowered my car. I havent really been extra careful since I put the lip on, and I hardly ever scrape. I dont think that would be the case if it were a lip that steps down.

It had nothing to do with curbs, he broke it in a stretch of road that was being worked on. There was a pothole, and even though he creeped through it, the lip still got caught and cracked. It only takes one messed up road, and there goes your investment.

You are correct, the bottom of the bumper angles up, but only very slightly. With the lip on the bumper, you cant notice that it angles up a little bit unless you are sitting on the ground.

I honestly have no idea if the front end lifts at speed. My car hasnt gone airborne yet, and neither have the cars of any of my customers :p. Personally I think all the stuff about downforce is a wash. People buy lips because they protect the bottom of the bumper and they look cool.

front lips don't look good without low hanging sideskirts as well. I think it looks dumb when the front end of a car hangs lower than the rest. It looks good from the front, but bad from the passenger side and drivers side. 1 out of 3 angles where it looks good from isn't enough to convince me to buy it. Now with some nice low hanging sideskirts and a lower hanging rear it would look really nice.

How about photos from the side? There is one in your gallery, but it is kind of dark.

thanks! :)

Ill try and get a better pic. Ill have to wash my car first though .

see i like the rmdsm one better, it just looks more like it fits/belongs better on the car the other just kinda looks like its hangin there oh by they way the red car looks bangin nice work, what side skirts are those, how much u pay for em? i wont copy u just gettin ideas. Been awhile since ive seen someone do nice subtle work like that

They are blitz lows, believe it or not. The body shop and me both felt that they looked better filled in as opposed to open. I think there was not enough material on the bottom of the skirt so you could see the street thru the gap along with the actual bottom of the car. We didn't like it and felt that wire mesh wouldn't hid it enough, so they filled it.
