those look really nice. i would go with the steel grey or gun metal.

how much do they cost without tires?

Rota Battles and Rota SubZero's are pretty nice as well, and lightweight.

There's a guy who has 16" Rota Slipstream's and I think the has the TCE big brake kit.

Danny,

I could help out on the TCE brakes // I just pulled my kit off my '97 GSX because in many ways it was over kill for me. Anyway, if you want the 12.2" TCE kit and can afford about 650 bucks shoot me an e-mail.

[email protected]

Kit Includes, well you guys know what it includes if you go to the website [www.tceperformanceproducts.com]. Note, I'll be have the rotors turned [1st time] and provide a new set of pads.

Ps. I'll be posting these to the classifieds as soon as I get pictures together.

Thanks,

As for overkill, my stock GSX brakes stop just fine at the 1/4 strip ... my original intention was to spend more time at the auto-x, thus needed the improved brakes [ie stopping power, heat dispursion, etc].

As for condition, functionality is perfect, asthetics shows fade on the passenger side rotor due to sun exposure ... what I mean is the billet aluminum has faded.

Again, best explained with pictures - which I don't have right now. All I can say is, if you want performance at [what I consider] a reasonable price then stop shopping. As for looks, the brakes are impressive but not as impressing as "NEW" brakes ... keep in mind all billet aluminum will fade when used.

Let me know, as for references ... mod black95gsx will vouch for me if you are interested.

Thanks,

Oh ya, rotors are 12.2" with modular hats [not sure if they are vented]. As for slotting/cross drilling ... I opted against those things as today's pads no longer need slotting to disipate gases, and cross drilling will crack ... plus, way less brake dust.

Has anyone ever done a cost vs weight comparison???

Meaning for $400 you can have this rim weighing XX, but for half the price and only XX more pounds you can get this one i.e. price vs weight which rim is the best bang for the buck??
