I've been trying to fish a 4 gauge power cable through the grommet in the passenger side firewall so that I can run it back to an amp. So far all I have to show for it is bloody knuckles. There seems to be almost NO spare room there. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've done it with 0/1 guage so anyone can do it. It is a 2 person job though, And do it in bright daytime light. Just have someone lie on their back in the passenger foot well(a pair of pliars works great when you can only get 1/2 inch thru) Another option would be electricians tape, it's usually in the elctricians part of home depot, it is a flat piece of metal with a hook on the end, you tape the wire to the end and fish it thru the opening. The tape also works great for putting wire under your carpet, in the car and in the house. I got mine or 30 bucks but check

i did two gauge by myself in the heat in about 15 min.

Take flat head, stab from the inside of the engine bay into the car, be careful where you are stabbing, the battery is removed at this point.

then use a knoife to cut the hole a little bit larger when your sure thats where you want it. (confirm this by going insde the car and feeling for the flat head)

then push the power wire thru engine side into cabin, and wam, bam money gram.
